David Zarnick Jr. of Butler Township received a master's degree in professional studies, homeland security from Penn State University.
He has accepted a position with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Zarnick graduated from Butler High School in 2006 and received a bachelor's in finance from Penn State in 2010.
He is the son of Dave and Judy Zarnick of Butler Township.

Shelby Waltman received a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Robert Morris University in May. She graduated with a 3.85 GPA and a specialization to be a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.Waltman is a 2004 graduate of Karns City High School and graduated cum laude with a bachelor's in nursing from Robert Morris University in 2008. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.Waltman has accepted a mental health nurse practitioner position with Kids Count Family Psychological Associates.She is the daughter of Daniel and Rebecca Waltman of Fenelton.
