GRADUATES
Matthew Allen of Chicora received a juris doctor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Allen is a 2006 graduate of Karns City High School and the son of Cindy and Jim Allen of Chicora.
In 2010, Allen graduated from Ohio Northern University with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. He was on the dean’s list every trimester and was active in the history, political science and campus leadership honoraries. He was president of the pre-law fraternity and served on the College of Arts and Sciences dean’s advisory board.
During law school, he was a certified legal intern who represented clients in the university’s health law clinic. Allen served as a legal writing teaching assistant from 2011 to 2013. He was a semi-finalist in the 2013 Murry S. Love Mock Trial Competition and was the managing editor of the Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law.
Allen has accepted a position with the firm Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter and Graham in Butler.
