Tanya Nocera received a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Ohio State University.
She is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School. In 2009, she received a bachelor's degree in physics from Allegheny College.
Nocera lives in Columbus, Ohio, and will join the biomedical engineering faculty at Ohio State University as an assistant professor of practice.
She is the daughter of Kevin and Joni Nocera of Butler.
