Raymond J. Melder Jr. of Butler earned the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.Melder received the Charles F. and Ruth J. Blatt Military Honor Award in recognition of his commitment to the U.S. armed services and the osteopathic profession. He also received his lieutenant commission in the U.S. Navy.He will complete a four-year residency in emergency medicine with Lehigh Valley Health Network in Bethlehem.Melder graduated from the University of Miami Coral Gables Campus in 2009 and from Butler High School in 2005.He is the son of Ray and Cathy Melder of Butler.
Douglas Pichler of Asheville, N.C., earned the doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh.He is employed at CVS Pharmacy in Asheville.Pichler graduated from Grove City College in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He is a 2006 graduate of Butler High School.Pichler is the son of Bill and Debbie Pichler of Butler.
Elisa Nesbitt McAfee of Butler received a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.She will attend the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.McAfee is a 2008 graduate of Butler High School and is the daughter of Scott and Susan Nesbitt of Butler.
Rosel Nesbitt of Butler graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a bachelor's degree in biology.Nesbitt was a member of the International Dean's List Society.She plans to apply for physician assistant school or medical school.Nesbitt is a 2010 graduate of Butler High School and the daughter of Scott and Susan Nesbitt of Butler.
Daniel Dallatore of Valencia graduated from the University of New England with a doctor of physical therapy degree.His is employed by Total Motion Physical Therapy in Christiansburg, Va.Dallatore graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 2007. He is a 2003 graduate of Mars High School.He is the son of Donna and Raymond Dallatore of Valencia.
