Saxonburg man arrested for child luring
SAXONBURG — Police said Scott F. Miller, 56, of Saxonburg, is facing two counts of child luring, a first-degree felony, after being arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Miller's arrest comes days after two 14-year-old girls reported being approached by a man in an SUV on West Main Street in Saxonburg, at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Saxonburg Police Chief Joe Beachem said Tuesday that the department determined Miller approached the girls and eventually followed them to the parking lot of the Saxonburg Library on Main Street, where he asked them "if they wanted to have a good time."
They ran from him and used cellphones to call their parents.
Police said that Miller had been taken to Butler County Prison.
A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
