Sara Mills of Cabot received a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in physics from Mercyhurst University. She graduated summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA and was an honor's scholar.

She will attend the University of Florida in the fall to pursue a doctoral degree in materials science and engineering.

The 2012 graduate of Knoch High School is the daughter of Christopher and Christine Mills of Cabot.

Alyssa Kunkel of Saxonburg received a doctor of pharmacy degree with a concentration in community, leadership, innovation and practice at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.

She received the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Innovations and Community Practice Award and the Walgreens Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award.

The 2009 Knoch High School alumna is employed as a pharmacy resident at the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C.

She is the daughter of Joel and Christine Kunkel of Saxonburg.
