ADAMS TWP — A teen is accused of hiding his 17-year-old girlfriend who ran away from her home in the state of Indiana earlier this month and was listed as a missing person.

Dominick J. Weale, 18, of Adams Township on June 7 waived to court charges of felony interference with the custody of children and felony concealment of the whereabouts of a child.

He was arrested June 1 after police discovered him and the girl in a tent in Valencia Park, according to the criminal complaint filed by township police.

Weale’s mother Lisa Weale called the police after she was called by the girl’s mother who thought the two may be together. He had been known to stay in a tent in the park while homeless.

In an interview with police, Weale said that the two met on Instagram and that the girl had been planning to come to Pennsylvania for four months. Weale said he and a friend left Pennsylvania on the night of May 31 and picked up the girl early the next morning in Indianapolis, Ind.

He received a speeding ticket from an Indiana state trooper on the way back.

Weale is in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.
