CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School will present the musical “Annie” at 7:30 p.m. March 15 and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 16 in the high school auditorium.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, comic strip heroine Little Orphan Annie charms everyone, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City.

She is determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years before on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.

With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie encounters adventure, foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations and befriends President Franklin Roosevelt.

She finds a new home and family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Gordon Cavalero and Susan Edwards are producers, and Cavalero also directed.

Darcie Bishop is vocal director, Edwards is choreographer and Dennis Malinski is orchestra director.

Naomi Wagner and Dawn Williams are costumers while Shelly O'Donnell and Diane Hunter are in charge of properties.

Chip Marra is technical director. Beatrice Heck is in charge of makeup. Dorinda Agner is piano accompanist.

Joe Wagner is the sound technician and Veronica Martin is the lighting technician.
