Butler man sentenced in news cameraman attack
A Butler man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges stemming from his behavior during a protest in Pittsburgh last summer.
Jordan Erdos, 21, of Butler, pleaded guilty to simple assault, riot with intent to commit a felony, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and engaging in fighting in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
Common Pleas Judge Edward Borkowski sentenced Erdos to six to 12 months in Allegheny County Jail and two years of probation, according to a court summary.
The Eagle reported June 27, 2020, that Erdos attacked a broadcast news cameraman and damaged a Pittsburgh Police vehicle during a Black Lives Matter rally.
Police said Erdos was seen in videos punching and kicking the cameraman and a police vehicle.
