2 Butler Area School District seniors receive full Vogeley scholarships

Brayden Koegler

Two Butler Area School District seniors, Brayden Koegler and Taylor Reinsel, were selected as recipients of the 39th annual Theodore K. Vogeley Scholarship.

They were chosen from 26 applicants, 17 of whom were interviewed. The scholarship will cover full tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books.

Brayden is the son of Kevin and Nichol Koegler. He will attend West Virginia University to major in forensic chemistry.

Taylor is the daughter of Eric and Tammy Reinsel. She will attend Nova Southeastern University to major in biology and the dual admissions osteopathic medicine program. The number of Vogeley recipients varies each year because of interest earned on the trust and the costs of the students' colleges or universities. A committee of three is responsible for selecting the recipients.Because of the availability of remaining funds, two other students will receive a four-year, fixed-amount scholarship, and six students will receive one-time grants. The recipients of the four-year fixed amount scholarship are Chloe Paulsick and Emma Teff, who will each receive $5,000 a year for a maximum of $20,000.Six students were the recipients of $5,000 one-time grants: Samuel Deemer, Micah Fabrizzi, Mason Grenci, Abbie Griffith, Andrea Jones and Logan Koegler.
