The Slippery Rock University baseball team closed its season with a doubleheader sweep of Clarion, 6-2 and 8-5, Saturday.

Grove City High graduate Matt Gordon got the win in the first game, striking out six in seven innings for a complete-game win.

Seneca Valley graduate Carson Kessler had a pair of hits.

Alex Bell was 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in the second-game win.

The Rock finished 13-36 overall.
