Lifesteps is offering a free Child Check screening from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road, Butler.

The building is at the intersection of New Castle and North Eberhart roads.

The Child Check will include developmental screenings for children from birth to age 5 and autism screenings for toddlers at least 18 months.

A Child Check screening assesses notable milestones in development, including hearing, talking, seeing, playing and basic social skills.

Screenings take about 30 minutes and results are discussed immediately with parents or guardians.
