SV grad Pasquale shines at Edinboro

EDINBORO — Seneca Valley graduate Maura Pasquale, a redshirt freshman on the Edinboro University softball team, is third in the PSAC this season with a .488 batting average.

Her on-base percentage is .523 — seventh in the league — and her slugging percentage of .756 is 10th.

Pirates mourn loss of usher Coyne

PITTSBURGH — Phil Coyne, who served as an usher for the Pittsburgh Pirates for 82 years, died Friday morning at 102.

Coyne worked his first Pirate game at Forbes Field in 1936, at age 18. He worked more than 6,000 games before officially retiring at age 100.

His Pirates uniform and identification badge are on permanent display at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
