A southbound motorcyclist collided into the side of a northbound truck that had turned left into a gas station parking lot in front of the motorcycle Thursday morning, according to Middlesex Township Police.

PENN TWP — A southbound motorcyclist collided into the side of a northbound truck that had turned left into a gas station parking lot in front of the motorcycle, according to Middlesex Township Police.

The motorcycle driver was taken from the scene Thursday morning via Butler Ambulance Service and later flown by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital. He was conscious at the scene, but emergency crews reported possible severe leg injuries.

The truck driver was uninjured. An elderly male passenger in the truck was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital in an ambulance.

The collision happened at the Planet Mart on Route 8 in Penn Township.

The Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded.

The accident was cleared around noon.
