Saturday was a good day for North Catholic with both the boys and girls basketball teams advancing to the next round of the PIAA playoffs.

Trailing 36-28 midway through the 3rd quarter against rival Freeport, the North Catholic girls basketball team went on a prodigious 30-4 run to dispatch the Yellowjackets 58-43 and move on the PIAA 4A playoffs.

Behind 33 points from Isaac DeGregorio, the North Catholic boys basketball team moves on the PIAA Class 3A playoffs with a 74-55 win over Westmont Hilltop. DeGregorio scored 26 points in the first half for the Trojans (25-2).
