A 38-year-old Beaver County man died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 3, after crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic, according to Penn Township police.

Penn Township Police chief Scott Longdon confirmed the crash at the intersection of Brownsdale and Powell roads involved two vehicles and that David Powers, of New Galilee, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Longdon, Powers was driving a Honda CR-V when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Ford F-350 pickup truck.

Police said the investigation is ongoing as they await the coroner’s report.

The Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department, Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company and Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
