Grant applications now open to help with energy costs
Applications are open for Pennsylvania’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The federally funded program provides grants ranging from $200 to $1,000 to pay heating bills, depending on household size and income, according to a news release from Peoples Natural Gas. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services sends the grant directly to Peoples, where it is credited to the customer’s account.
Customers can visit Peoples-Gas.com/LIHEAP, call the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program hotline at 1-866-857-7095 or contact their county assistance office for more information.
