Jennings to host home tour March 8
BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center next month will offer a tour featuring area homes that have adopted various water conservation practices.
The tour, which runs from 1 to 5 p.m. March 8, supports the iConserve Pennsylvania initiative that encourages people to “take conservation personally,” with its current theme of “H2O: Home 2 Outdoors — Water’s with us for life.”
The tour will showcase water conservation practices that anyone can adopt, including techniques for using water more wisely, both indoors and outdoors: directing and collecting rainwater, capturing water for home and garden use and protecting and improving water quality.
The event is designed for those age 16 and older. Space is very limited. Transportation will be provided.
Advanced registration is required by Friday and prepayment of $5 per person is required by March 5.
Registration is available online at www.apps.dcnr.state.pa.us/Calendar/list.asp or by calling 724-794-6011.
