Zelienople Borough raises community pool rates
ZELIENOPLE — After a recommendation from the borough’s parks director, the rates for the Zelienople community pool will rise once again in 2027.
Borough council voted unanimously at a meeting Monday evening, Oct. 26, to raise the rates of both daily admission and membership in line with a recommendation from parks director Lyndsey Granata.
Granata said at Monday’s meeting she reviewed neighboring pools and made her recommendation to put Zelienople in line with their rates.
The new rates will raise daily admission across the board by $1, as well as raise membership costs by 7%.
She said the borough has been raising the rates annually since 2022 to keep up with inflationary costs and neighboring pools.
“I think we’ll be much better off. Chemicals and everything have just been increasing and increasing and we’ve been getting more and more pool members,” Granata told council Monday.
