Trade Show connects customers, businesses

GROVE CITY — The 10th annual Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce Trade Show Feb. 28 will continue its tradition of spotlighting community businesses and giving a chance for vendors to create connections with new customers.

Beth Black, executive director of the chamber, said it also creates a chance for residents to explore a variety of businesses they might need.

"I think the basic reason that the chamber got into doing this 10 years ago was just a new way that we could showcase the businesses in our area and allow them to have a six-hour opportunity to see thousands of people in one day," Black said.

The trade show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center.

Admission is $1 for adults 18 years old and above.

"I think the trade show is a very affordable way for them to get the word out about their business, and also, the night before we have a vendor-to-vendor hour," Black said.

She said the items given out by each vendor can come in handy for people looking for different services.

"They will be meeting new clients, and at the end of the day, the people going through are going home with trinkets from all of these different booths," Black said. "When they need somebody's service, they have that pen or notepad and it might just be the person they call."

This year's raffle prize at the trade show is a $2,000 money tree giveaway. Tickets are available in the chamber office.

The Trinity Living Center and the North Liberty Presbyterian Church will provide free shuttle service from the parking lot at the college to the trade show.
