Pgh. offers deals for homeowners
PITTSBURGH — In a move to end blight in several neighborhoods, Pittsburgh officials are alerting homeowners they can buy a vacant, adjacent lot for about $400.
Mayor Luke Ravenstahl says he wants to stir up interest in the city's Side Yard Program by mailing letters to about 150 homeowners.
The lots cost $200, and buyers must pay $200 in closing costs.
