Drug arrest made in Island area
A search warrant yielded powder and rock cocaine, marijuana, drug packaging materials and other contraband at a home Wednesday morning in Butler's Island neighborhood, authorities said.
State police vice officers arrested Terrell Reavis, 40, at the two-story house on the 300 block of Negley Avenue where he lives.
He was arraigned on drug trafficking charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.
Members of the state police Special Emergency Response Team assisted in serving the sealed search warrant about 6 a.m. Police said Reavis was found in an upstairs bedroom.
Seized during the search, according to charging documents, was a baggie containing suspected powder cocaine and a plate with suspected crack cocaine.
The search also turned up a baggie of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, plastic baggies, a marijuana grinder and $324 in currency.
District Judge William Fullerton arraigned Reavis on felony charges of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Additionally, he is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
His preliminary hearing is set April 22.
Court records showed that Reavis has multiple felony drug convictions, all in Philadelphia.
