VALENCIA — Fire destroyed a two-car garage and the pickup truck inside it along Leslie Road this afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

About 25 firefighters from five departments needed 30 minutes to douse the flames at 496 Leslie Road, then another 45 minutes to control all the hot spots.

The garage was engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived following the 12:30 p.m. emergency call, said Dave Metz, a firefighter with Middlesex Township.

Since no hydrants were available on the rural road, crews from Adams, Richland Township, West Deer and Saxonburg provided tanker and pump trucks, plus the 300 yards of line to stretch along the driveway to the garage.

Quality Ambulance also was on the scene, though no one was in the garage and the home about 75 feet away was not damaged.

No cause of damage amount have yet been determined for the fire.
