Evans City Area High School’s class of 1956 had a reunion Oct. 1, marking 70 years since the class’ graduation.

The graduating class of that year had 52 people, plus two who did not graduate. Eleven members of the class attended the 70-year reunion at the Watering Hole in Jackson Township.

The reunion featured scrapbooks chronicling senior class pictures, photos from previous reunions and place mats and items from past events and weddings. Displays also included items relating to the class, like class rings, football sweaters, a poodle skirt, class projects and news items and obituaries of members of the class.

The class has met every year since its 50th reunion in 2006. Five members have never missed a reunion or luncheon — Eilene Budisky, Marlene Domhoff, Barb Enslen, Carol Larkin and Bob Moore.
