Shirley Ann Smith
In memory of Shirley Ann Smith, December 2, 1982 to September 8, 2006
To our dearest Shirley,
It has been a year today that the phone call came, that I never wanted to get. It was your Mom telling me to come, that you had been in that terrible accident. As Joan and I were driving to the hospital, we continued to PRAY, there had to been a terrible mistake.
As the night went on we knew that, as hard as it was to let you go, you were in a much better place.
I tried so hard to stay strong for your family, as I knew that is what you would want,
I was the first to speak at your funeral, nothing that I have ever done before, but I knew deep down in that it would help your Mom, Dad, Nancy, Duane, Chris and Kristie.
As the days now have turned into weeks, months, and now a year, you would be so proud of Chris, the trucking business is up and going, Nancy a wonderful Mommy, your precious little Alex and Madison growing so fast,
We love you and miss you so very much, but we are all so blessed to have such a guardian angel watching over us morning, noon and night.
