A Tuesday evening traffic accident resulted in the temporary closure of Route 68 in Jackson Township.

Township police closed the road between Route 19 and the Interstate 79 overpass to traffic around 7 p.m. following an accident at the intersection of East Grandview Avenue and Main Street in Harmony, according to a dispatcher with Butler County Emergency Services.

State police were handling the one-vehicle crash into a pole, which brought lines down across the road and led to the closure.
