Superheroes and super villains, ghosts and goblins and everything in between took over Alameda Park Saturday morning, Oct. 10, at the Monster Mile Family Walk.
Weeks out from Halloween, the children are already in character.
The paths of Alameda Park, filled with children ranging from young enough to be in a stroller to elementary schoolers, featured a firefighter, a minion, a dinosaur, siblings dressed as a cheerleader and football player, a skeleton, Perry the Platypus, Spiderman and other costumes fun and spooky, sometimes with their parents joining in on the holiday spirit.
The Monster Mile Family Walk is held by the Butler County Parks & Recreation Department.
Walking through the event decorated with scarecrows and pumpkins, over a dozen candy stations welcomed the creatures and characters of the Monster Mile, along with crafts and a bouncy house.
