Pennsylvania's jobless rate last stood at 8.3 percent in March 1985, while its current job count is below the May 2004 level.
Since the recession began in December 2007, Pennsylvania has lost more than 180,000 jobs.

The states said Dish refused to take responsibility when customers were misled by service resellers and equipment installers.State officials also accused Dish of charging customers' credit cards and withdrawing money from bank accounts without giving adequate notice and getting proper authorization.
