Police reports as of Oct. 9
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Sept. 14 — Shawn Robert Nelson, 46, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a Sept. 13 report. Police said Nelson kicked someone in the chest.
Sept. 14 — Devon Anthony Johnson, 31, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a Sept. 14 incident. Police said Johnson pushed and slapped a woman.
Sept. 14 — James Nicholas Camardese, 37, of Allegheny County, was charged with felony false written statement to police and misdemeanor statement under penalty following a Sept. 9 incident. Police said Camardese answered a firearms application falsely.
Sept. 15 — Tina Marie Heath, 65, of Kentucky, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 21 traffic stop. Police said Heath had a blood alcohol content of 0.105%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Sept. 15 — Ryan James Johnson, 43, of Grove City, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Sept. 12 traffic stop. Police said Johnson showed signs of impairment.
Sept. 15 — Craig Daniel Colaizzi Jr., 22, of New Castle, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 8 traffic stop. Police said Colaizzi tested positive for THC and had a blood alcohol content of 0.181%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Sept. 9 — Laura Nicole Rotan, 38, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock following a Sept. 7 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Rotan was driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock when it was required.
Sept. 9 — John Clayton Butina, 44, of Summit Township, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts following a June 21 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Butina tested positive for cocaine.
Sept. 10 — Ralph R. Scott, 52, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a May 16 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Scott showed signs of impairment.
Sept. 10 — Christopher Lance Ray, 53, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following an Oct. 11 traffic stop in Butler. Police said Ray tested positive for cocaine and had a metal smoking pipe.
Sept. 18 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 2:21 p.m. near the intersection of Centertown and Whitaker roads in Mercer Township. Police said Brandi L. Ealey, 53, of Harrisville, driving a Ford Expedition, pulled out in front of the Ford Edge of Kieran M. O’Rourke, 21, of Grove City, and was struck. O’Rourke was transported to AHN Grove City Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
