Butler County's great daily newspaper

VT students..

Peter, that does not make any sense. So basically what you are saying is..that if someone is a "good boy or girl" then they should be able to carry a gun?? Are you for real? Let me tell you a little story about the system and those so called laws. This has nothing to do with this case, but hopefully this will prove a point. My father molested me pretty much my whole childhood. He was able to slip through the cracks of the system and to this day is not listed on any Megan's Law website. He got a slap on the wrist back then, because he plead guilty in order to get a lesser charge...DO YOU BELIEVE THAT? You know what he would tell me and my sister (by the way he was doing it to her) he told us that he was only telling the therapist and caseworkers what they wanted to hear. Then he continued to molest, abuse and threaten to kill us if we told anyone. We were so young we couldn't testify to the things he was doing to us. So now some twenty odd years later..he is not in our life. He remarried had two more girls. The wife(which I have become close with) has died from cancer and she tried leaving them with her best friend. Well he is doing everything he possibly can to make himself look good in front of supervised visitations with CYS. I can tell you from experience that he will slip through the crack AGAIN..because no one will listen. So basically after this long explanation of things..the moral of the story is..just because you don't have a huge case against you, DOES NOT in any means makes you a saint and certaintly not make you a law abiding citizens!! If this is what people think, then they have no clue! Take it from somone who's been on the other side! I'm not saying anything bad about what you wrote, but I just wanted you to know there is a much bigger picture out there, not just what you see on t.v. or what somone tells you. I do feel bad for all those kids though, I wish they didn't have to go through that.
