Butler County has a new jury management system, according to a Monday, Oct. 5, news release from the Office of Court Administration.

The system updates the summoning experience for potential jurors with what’s described as a “secure, efficient and user-friendly” online platform where potential jurors can answer their juror questionnaire and make any requests to be deferred or excused.

According to a news release from the office, residents would need to be on the lookout for a postcard-sized Official Juror Summons to arrive by USPS (United States Postal Service), which will include a QR code that links directly to the Butler County Juror Access online platform.

Once a potential juror receives a summons, they will be provided with information to respond to their summons online within 10 days, according to the Office of Court Administration.

The new system then allows for communication with the potential jurors via email, text, and/or phone.
