Zelienople Fall Festival to bring countless activities to the borough
Zelienople Fall Festival will take over the borough Friday through Saturday, Oct. 9-11, offering activity throughout each day.
The event will take place from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Friday; from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, along Spring and Main streets.
This tradition was designed to bring families and businesses together for food and crafts, as well as celebrate the town, Zelienople Mayor Thomas Olivero said.
The weekend is set to kick off Friday with a Tailgate Zone in the Spring Street parking lot, featuring a musical performance by Aaron Haben Music starting at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday will feature similar schedules, with a merchandise area; craft and food vendors; Bounce Boulevard; and the Tailgate Zone, all opening at 10 a.m. Both days will also feature free tractor-pulled wagon rides and sidewalk sales.
Four Corners Park will host many of the craft, food and commercial vendors, while local restaurants and cafes will offer streetside service.
In addition to the activities taking place throughout the weekend, visitors Saturday can expect a chili cook-off from noon to 3 p.m., Boots on Main line dancing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and a showing of “Ghostbusters” at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday will feature a car cruise from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Glade Run rear parking lot C, and Zelie’s Sweetest Baking Competition from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Spring Street parking lot.
