Red Cross Blood drives taking place in Butler County this month

The American Red Cross is urging eligible individuals to make and keep donation appointments throughout October as the need for blood and platelet donors remains constant.

Blood drives scheduled through the end of the month include:

• from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 9 at American Legion Post 683, 754 N. Pike Road, Cabot

• from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 at Meridian Fire Hall, 121 Sparks Ave., Butler

• from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Mars Area High School, 520 Route 228, Mars

• from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at Hill Presbyterian Church, 501 2nd St., Butler

• from noon to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2771 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township

• from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars

• from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at Slippery Rock University Robert M. Smith Student Center, 107 W. Central Loop, Slippery Rock.
