A dilapidated house at 322 Hickory St. in Butler was demolished Tuesday in a joint effort between the city and the redevelopment authority. The home was the fourth property torn down in the city this year and is the first demolition paid for by the authority, which receives state grants to tear down such houses. The city paid for the previous demolitions on Cliff, East Jefferson and Howard streets. Tom Brugere Contracting handled the work.
