CHARLEROI — Police in Charleroi say a man who attended a party with a woman later found dead in a garbage bin is a "person of interest" in her death. Police are not identifying the man who they say knew 22-year-old Amanda Lynn Faux, of West Mifflin.

But witnesses say Faux attended a party at another apartment in the building where the man had recently moved. The woman's body was found in a garbage bin outside the apartment building on Sunday evening.

Police say the man who took the woman to the party asked for an attorney once they started questioning him about her death.

The woman was asphyxiated. Police say she was found nude with an electrical cord around her neck and a plastic bag over her head.
