I-79 will be restricted on Friday, Monday for Wexford Interchange Project

PennDOT announced restrictions on I-79 in Marshall Township and Franklin Park Borough, Allegheny County on Friday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 12 in a news release.

Traffic on I-79 will be limited to a single lane in both directions, between the off and on-ramps at the Route 910/Wexford interchange (Exit 73) from 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 to 9 a.m. on Oct. 10, and from 7 p.m. on Oct. 12 to 6 a.m. on Oct. 13.

The restrictions will allow deck placement work and patching operations for the $46.5 million Wexford Interchange project.

The project is anticipated to continue through the 2027 construction season.

More information about the project can be found at www.pa.gov/DOTprojects.
