GoFundMe started for 2 flown to hospital Saturday from Brady Township motorcycle crash

The daughter of a man and woman flown to an area hospital Saturday, Oct. 3, after a motorcycle crash in Brady Township has started a GoFundMe for their care.

The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. at William Flinn Highway and Staff Road. The man and woman suffered head injuries but were alert and talking, according to dispatch.

According to the GoFundMe, the man required surgery and the woman suffered a broken shoulder.

“Right now, the need is immediate,” the fundraiser’s organizer, Mackenzie Schaffer, said. “The funds will help cover medical bills, living expenses, household bills and utilities so they can have the things they are going to need during recovery. This support would help ease some of the pressure while they are in the hospital and focusing on healing.”

As of 11 a.m. Monday, the GoFundMe had raised $195. Those who wish donate can search the GoFundMe website for “Support My Parents After Their Accident.”

Shortly after dispatching Butler Ambulance Service, Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team to the crash, a helicopter was also requested.

Dispatch also confirmed that one vehicle and one motorcycle were on the scene.
