Jean E. Meigel, 78, of Middlesex Township died Sunday at Shelbourne Assisted Living in Penn Township.

Born Dec. 6, 1928, she was the daughter of Frank and Ruperta Boles Perrone.

She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Meigel retired as a factory worker at Mine Safety Appliances.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jeannie) Russell of Plum; a son, Richard Meigel (Donna "DJ") of Middlesex Township; and four grandchildren, Robert and Jeffrey Russell and Catherine and Amy Meigel.

Two brothers, George Perrone of Verona and Charles Perrone of Millvale, also survive.

Her husband, Richard T. "Skeet" Meigel, whom she married June 7, 1958, died July 1, 2001. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Simpkins and Lorraine Harris.

<B>MEIGEL</B> — Friends of Jean E. Meigel, who died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, with the Rev. Gary Weston officiating. Burial will be at the Mars Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Valencia Presbyterian Church.Information is available and condolences may be submitted at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
