A herd of goats came to the rescue for cleanup duty at Karns City Area School District.
The district dispatched “a small herd of seven goats” to eat the underbrush and clear ground foliage in the wooded area near the nature trail at Karns City Jr./Sr. High School. The goats will be there for the next few weeks as a trial run.
If the use of goats works out, the district may plan to expand their usage, district superintendent Eric Ritzert said.
