BUTLER TWP — The Pennsylvania CareerLink and the Butler County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a job and career fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Days Inn on Route 8.

Peggy Weckerly, Butler County CareerLink administrator, said Monday the event will have 41 employers, 24 educational and training centers, and 24 here-to-help organizations such as the Butler County Assistance Office and the Center for Community Resources.

"We're happy we were able to get that many employers with the way the economy is," Weckerly said, adding that at the fall 2008 job fair, before the economy tanked, about 89 employers were on hand.

Weckerly encourages all job seekers to have copies of their resume, and said if they go to the CareerLink office, not only can people get help with the resume, but the office will print copies for free.

She also said, "Everyone should dress their best because employers remember the first impression you make."

CareerLink hosts the fair each spring and fall.
