$100K winner sold in Brady Township

BRADY TWP — One winning Powerball with Power Play ticket worth $100,000 from the Saturday drawing was sold at the Country Corner Store, 2678 William Flynn Highway, which is Route 8.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 09-28-30-40-61, and the red Powerball 03, to win $100,000, less applicable tax withholding. It was sold with the $1 Power Play option, which boosted the prize to $100,000 instead of $50,000 because Saturday’s multiplier was two.

Country Corner will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according a lottery news release.

Lottery winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Prizes must be claimed and winning tickets validated before winners can be identified.

The lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the ticket, call the lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of lottery’s seven area offices.

More than 37,300 other Powerball tickets won prizes in the drawing.

The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $148 million, or $97.6 million cash, for the Wednesday drawing.

In the 2014-15 fiscal year, the lottery awarding more than $40 million in prizes to Butler County winners and contributed more than $15.2 million to programs serving the county’s older residents.
