The Rotary Club of Slippery Rock is sponsoring a community blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Center Presbyterian Church. The drive is in response to the American Red Cross’s announcement about an emergency need for blood platelet donations.

The drive will run from noon to 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church, 211 Center Street in Slippery Rock.

People donating blood during the Slippery Rock Blood Drive will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice while supplies last. People making their first blood platelet donation will also get a $40 e-gift card to their choice of merchant.
