Cycle passenger dies of injuries from deer crash
PITTSBURGH — The Clay Township woman injured in a motorcycle accident in Winfield Township Sunday died Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office, Michelle Lee Miller, 44, died at 12:54 p.m. at Allegheny General Hospital.
The cause of death will be determined once the medical examiner’s office receives the body. Miller was an organ donor.
According to Butler state police, Miller, the passenger, was not wearing a helmet when she hit her head on the ground after the motorcycle hit a deer at the intersection of Winfield and Cornplanter roads at 8:50 p.m.
The driver of the motorcycle, Thomas A. McKee Sr., 58, of Clearfield Township was treated for moderate injuries at a Pittsburgh hospital. He also was not wearing a helmet.
