Durst

Michael W. Durst, 66, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at his home.

Born March 12, 1960, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of David W. Durst and Janet M. (Clowes) Durst.

Mike served in the U.S. Air Force as a contracting officer, retiring after more than 30 years of service and as a civil servant contracting officer. He enjoyed reading, watching football, playing the piano, working in the yard and playing cards with the family.

Surviving are two sons, Keary David Durst, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Kiel (Jessica Sunday) Durst, of Sarver; his mother, Janet Durst, of Cabot; two brothers, Mark (Vickie) Durst, of Sarver, and Bruce (Linda Maze) Durst, of Saxonburg; one sister, Karen (Bill) Jones, of Cabot; his partner, Sue Soergel, of Cabot; the mother of his children, Traci L. Durst, of Conway, S.C.; and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

DURST — Friends of Michael W. Durst, who died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Soergel officiating.

Interment will follow in Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
