Barcic

Paula K. Barcic, 73, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026.

Born in Butler, Paula was the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Arta J. (Klotz) Lunn. She later made her home in Plum, Pa., before relocating to Punta Gorda, Fla.

Paula was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She shared a loving 48-year marriage with her husband, Brian D. Barcic, and took great pride in her family. She was the loving mother of Brian D. Barcic II and his husband, Andrew Josey, and Nicole (Barcic) Breedlove and her husband, Christopher Breedlove.

Of all the roles she held throughout her life, Paula’s favorite job was being Grandma. She adored her grandchildren, Remi Breedlove and Ty Breedlove, and cherished every moment spent with them. They brought her endless joy and were a source of tremendous pride and happiness.

Paula enjoyed days out on the boat, cheering for the Steelers and making memories with the people she loved. She also had a gift for bringing people together and was known for throwing a great party.

Paula will be lovingly remembered by her husband, children and grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Sue (Lunn) Courson, Alice Lunn, James Lunn, Mark Lunn and Beth (Lunn) Miller. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her siblings, Cynthia Lunn, Kathleen (Lunn) Calhoon, Raymond Lunn and Robert Lunn.

Paula leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with family, friendships, laughter and love. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

BARCIC — Celebration of life gatherings for Paula K. Barcic, who died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, will be held at Chartiers Country Club, in Pittsburgh, from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16; and at the Isles Yacht Club, in Punta Gorda, from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 5.
