Sarah “Eileen” E. Grabe, 90, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

She was born in Clarion on Dec. 22, 1935, daughter of the late Bennet and Viola (Dello) Moyer.

Eileen was a homemaker and dedicated mother, and she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. She was known for being patient, courageous, friendly and caring. She always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

Eileen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a member of the Butler Congregation.

Eileen was the beloved wife of Richard Grabe, whom she married June 23, 1956; mother of Idella Grabe, Jael (Mike) Hawryliak, Joel Grabe, Amos (Dru) Grabe and Melinda (Darrin) Knight; and grandmother of Shane and Dustin (Caitlin) Hawryliak, and Vincent (Meghan), Brett (Brie) and Bennett Grabe.

Along with her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her four siblings.

GRABE — All arrangements for Sarah “Eileen” E. Grabe, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, were made privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
