A sinkhole is taped off at the intersection West Pearl and North Washington streets. The hole is about four yards wide by two yards long. Jennifer O’Brien, who lives on West Pearl, said neighbors noticed the sinkhole Monday and it has since grown. “People are just going to go around it,” O’Brien said. “Thankfully we don’t have a parade going on right now or this would be a big problem, since this is the detour route for parades.” The Butler streets department is working on fixing the problem.
