PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh will spend between $10 million and $20 million to clean up the city and provide security for the two-day Group of 20 summit in September.

Mayor Luke Ravenstahl says he believes much of the cost will be reimbursed by the state and federal governments. He says the city is spending money already in its budget, just shifting the priorities to downtown.

Nineteen world leaders and representatives of the European Union will be in Pittsburgh Sept. 24 and 25 to discuss the global economic crisis.

Ravenstahl toured downtown streets on Thursday, identifying storefronts, roads, graffiti and other issues he wants addressed before the summit.

Officials plan to install economic recovery and "green"-themed art decals to cover about 30 vacant storefronts.
