Palloni

Aileen “Ginger” Palloni, 77, of Evans City, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026.

Born Oct. 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John and Winifred (Kanaley) Alex.

Ginger was a devoted wife, a proud mother and grandmother and someone whose genuine kindness touched everyone who knew her. She loved her people deeply. If you were one of her people, you knew it. You were cared for, worried about, protected and loved with her whole heart. Ginger always put others before herself and made certain everyone around her was taken care of.

That devotion extended especially to her family. She was immensely proud of her husband, John, and his service to our country as a Vietnam veteran. Some of her proudest moments came from watching her children raise families of their own and seeing the people her grandchildren were becoming. She found great joy in baking cookies for those she loved and if you were lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a batch, you knew it was one of the ways she showed her love. Her kindness, caring nature and unmistakable smile made others feel welcome wherever she went.

“Just to be with someone you love. Those things make happiness.”

This quote from her favorite book, “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,” beautifully captures the life Ginger shared with those closest to her. Her greatest happiness was rooted in being with and caring for the people she loved. The love she gave so completely will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

That legacy will be cherished by her loving husband and the love of her life, John Palloni; her children, Christine (Doug), Lisa (Mark) and Nick (Leigh Ann); and her precious grandchildren, Jimmy (Grace), TJ, Shane and Colton.

In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her siblings, Nick and Georgia.

PALLONI — To honor Ginger’s life and allow family and friends to gather in her memory, visitation will be held for Aileen “Ginger” Palloni, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

Following visitation, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.
