Knoch student chosen as Best Actress at Mancini Awards
It's awards season and the Henry Mancini Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre chose a Butler County student for one of its highest honors.
Abigail McAuley, a Knoch High School student was chosen as Best Actress at the awards show that aired virtually on Saturday. The Best Actor award went to Devin McDonald, a Beaver Falls High School student.
The Best Actress and Actor winners will participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards) through a partnership with the Pittsburgh CLO. The winners will also receive the Phil Inman Best Actor/ Actress Scholarship, thanks to a donation from Donald and Carol Inman.
The 18 participating schools in Butler, Beaver, Lawrence and Mercer counties had the opportunity to submit students for this year’s individual awards.
The Mancini Awards ceremony was livestreamed at 7 p.m. Saturday.
